My Experience in Bank Job

My journey with Dhaka Bank begins back in February 02,2008. For over Nine years I have worked at the Dhaka Bank Ltd, One of the Prominent and busiest Bank in the country. Although a good job, was not the job I wanted when I started, but the work I needed to help in the family expenses and to continue my education (MBA).On my first day (of my first job), I was terrified. I was bit shy but expected to interact with the bank’s Clients in the same way as if I was an experienced employee. After some time of work, when I started receiving the first compliments of my managers and clients I realized how much work was helping me become a better person. It put me in touch with different people and led me to different situations that required independent problem solving.I observed that work load in General Banking Department, Foreign Exchange and Credit Department at Dhaka Bank was more than compared to the number of working employees. As their work pressure being doubled, so motivational levels of those employees were getting down. I felt, Management of DBL could do better to boost employees motivation with new policy and package. My job as a Bank employee not only allowed Me to be a better person , but also helped me develop skills that necessary for any successful professional, I would never learn in any Business School or University classes. Dhaka Bank is one of the leading private sector banks in Bangladesh and they offer a wide range of personal, corporate, international trade finance, Foreign Exchange, Lease Finance, Capital Market Service. As a finance student, I always prefer to do a job in a financial organization. So, obviously banks get the first priority to me. Dhaka bank is a great way to demonstrate interest in the sector and for me to learn more about the actual job and real aspects of Banking.
